Teen Scream Queens

I should be committed to an insane asylum right this instant. I called one of my cousins last night to inform her that I would be taking her step-daughter Jazmine and her oldest daughter Maria (ages 16 and 13) to a concert on next week.

Mario is scheduled to come to our city during the state fair and the tickets are only $5, so I thought they’d love to see him. These girls are crazy about Mario’s music and this will be their very first concert, so I want to make it a memorable one. Cool idea, huh? Well, I thought so too.

That was until I received 6 calls this morning from the mothers of Jazmine and Maria’s friends. Lawd, these girls have taken it upon themselves to invite 6 other girls to go along as well, and their mothers are calling me for permission for them to tag along. Picture this: Me and 8 screaming teenage girls at a Mario concert. Insanity!

Y’all, pray for me. I’mma need it next Tuesday night as I try to contain these young ladies while Mario becons you should let me love you to them.

You should have unpacked that idea a little more, Nik. I will send one up for you. I volunteered to take my soror’s daughter to the next concert because she was about to hurt somebody’s child for screaming for Bow Wow. Young girls are hilarious.

*sigh Mario* I love that lil boy! I do. Um, none of the other mothers tryna help a sista out? 8 teens by yourself? Not acceptable!

Have fun Nikki aka the coolest aunty on the block. I remember you went on a field trip then took some kids camping….you’re a good one!

And am I the only one waiting on a Ro update? Did I miss it?

girl take a helmet. i took my little cousin and two of her friends to see bow wow, b2k, and imx at one of those scream tours. leave it up to a concert to make those chillen follow directions.

let’s just say i almost had to put the smackdown on some children when bow wow flew over the crowd and those lil heffas tried to climb each other (and me) to reach up and touch him.

never again.

Did we ever scream and go crazy over groups like New Edition or DeBarge? I can’t remember. I liked them, but don’t remember having a scream fest for them. However, I can remember folks losing their minds over Prince in his stillettos with his little red corvette.

I’ll be praying for ya!! It was hard enough taking 1 SCREAMING child to a concert, I couldn’t imagine 8!!

LoL you are definitely in my prayers. I almost fell for the okie-doke. According to some of the folks around here, this was Bobby Valentino’s return trip. Suddenly, Miki neeeeeded this one lil’ funky fitted… but it was at her girl’s house. We were driving and I said, “Yanno what? Your outfit is cute without it” and kept driving. Miki was hot! About 10 minutes later, the girls’ mother (there were 3) called to ask what time I was coming. Then I had to tell her that I didn’t know I was carpooling.

Them lil’ heffas tried to set us up. I went back and got ‘em tho. LoL

Too funny! I mean think of it this way…those girls will ALWAYS remember how much fun they had with you. At least they are not of age. LOL! No drinking involved at all AND it is cheap. COOL!
