Speed Racer
2007

So I hear the Wachowski Brothers, the same men who brought you the Matrix trilogies, are planning to bring Speed Racer, based on the cartoon of the same name, to the big screen as a live action film. I also heard that the Warner Brothers film company first brought Hype Williams in to direct the film, but Hype backed out of the project in 2001. So now the Wachowski Brothers are slated to write and direct the film, which is set for release in 2008.
It should be interesting to see where they will take this film, but I have a few questions:
- I always thought that Speed was gay. Not trying to offend anyone, but it’s just what I personally think. ‘Cause check it out, Speed wears these tight ass polyester pants with white go-go boots with a kerchief around his neck. Not saying that’s gay attire, but all he needs is an eyepatch and he’d be a flaming pirate. Plus Trixie is supposed to be his girlfriend, right? How come he ain’t never kicked the rhythm to her not one time? Trixie is literally a ride or die chick. She is riding with yo ass hither and yon, day in and day out, but you never once tried to bone. Not even so much as a kiss. This is your girlfriend and you treat her like she’s a next-door-neighbor.
- Then there’s Speed’s older brother, Rex Racer, who is also known as Racer X. Is he in the Nation of Islam? He loves to wear a wear a black mask and he’s changed his last name to X.
- Finally, there’s Speed’s younger brother, Spritle, and his pet champanzee, Chim-Chim. I didn’t wanna have to be the one to tell you this, but………………those two have got to be bonin’! They can’t keep their hands off of each other. Just rollin’ around on top of each other every chance they get. I guess somebody in the family had to get laid. Mark my word, there’s some bestiality going on.

Today, my mother’s brother, Howard, was laid to rest. But believe it or not, it wasn’t a sad ocassion. The minister who delivered the eulogy was my uncle’s godson, and he filled us with food for meditation with his sermon. It was one of the best homegoing ceremonies that I’ve ever attended.
I live near a lake, and every morning, a family of ducks fly over my house. I have been trying, unsuccessfully, for over a year to capture photos of them in flight, because their flight maneuvers are so beautiful to see. But for the life of me I can never seem to:
