Matrix or Treat

For the past couple of years, I’ve sponsored a Halloween party for the kids in my neighborhood.  Well, this year the party has expanded, so now we’re having the party held at the community center.  And every year my friend Dre and I have dressed in different themes.

Last year we went with a Star Wars theme.  This year we’re going with a Matrix theme.  And my brother is even getting in on the act.  I’m going as Niobe, Dre will be Neo and my brother is going as Morpheus.

I really wish that some parents in the neighborhood would volunteer to take over one year because this is really wearing me out.  As much as I love the kids, I can’t keep doing this forever, nor am I guaranteed to keep living in this city.  But for now, I’ll play hostess again this year.

thats a really great thing to do for the kids

nobody in my neighborhood is doing Halloween…We inviting our African neighbor’s 15 kids (he has two wives) to our house for some bobbing for apples, candy and cupcakes…

No trick or treating/begging this year…I haven’t done a sex offender registry check in my neighborhood yet

Come on Nikkster. Do it forever!!! Do it for the kiddies… But that’s definitely a great gesture. Nicely done.

Diva, you’re going to invite a polygamist over to your house for Halloween? Is he the trick or the treat? The jokes just write themselves on this one.

Nah….not the father…or the wives….just the kids!

I don’t want that polygamy demon getting in and floating around in my house!

He said to Scribe: “We Bruddahs!”….I said no yall ain’t…there will be no other wives in this marriage!

By the way…I must send you a copy of “The Comforter” doing Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson…Girl I was on the floor!

you’re such a great person for doing this for the kids. i hope the parents really get into the act as well.

at least you got a chance to see the children and give out some candy… i had not one trick or treater, not one. and, i spent $7 on some candy and even got a lovely little halloween bucket-bag to put it all in… *sighs* every year i tell myself that i will not buy candy and every year i do… did you guys at least have a blast?

that is so sweet.

where are the phooooootos?? Good thing you do, Nikki! It sounds like fun!
