I’m sure by know all of you have heard about Nadya Suleman, the 33 year old mother of 6 that range from ages 7 – 2, who had octuplets last week.  This story just keeps getting wilder and wilder.

First of all, the physician who inseminated her needs a beatdown because he or she knew that Nadya already had 6 children previously, all through in vitro fertilization.

Nadya claims that she didn’t want the eight other eggs that she had harvested to be destroyed, and since she wanted another daughter, she felt that she might as well have the eight remaining eggs artificially inseminated to up the chances for that girl.  Huh?

Not only was she risking her life by having this procedure done, but the life of the unborn octuplets as well.  Her mother says that Nadya was obsessed with having babies.  Sounds like Nadya needs a little psychiatric help.  Oh, but here’s a bit of irony.  Before losing her job after becoming pregnant with the octuplets, Nadya was a psychiatric technician.  Ain’t that a bitch?

Now here’s my gripe……..who is going to take care of these kids?  The octuplets will need to stay in the hospital for at least 2-3 months and I heard this morning that additional medical care will run around $3 million+.

Nadya is selling her story for $2 million.  Ok, that takes care of some of the medical expenses, but what about their healthcare after they leave the hospital?  Oh, and did you forget that you have 6 other kids?  What about the cost to raise those kids?

And not only that, it’s already hard for a lot of single mothers to even date and/or marry with one or two children.  You have 14 friggin’ kids?  I don’t know of too many men who will be rushing to date you.  Lemme take that back, I don’t know of any.  But there’s someone for everyone, or so they say.

Also, I hear that all 14 of Nadya’s children children have the same father.  Is he going to step up to the plate?  Again I ask, who is going to take care of these kids? *cough cough* Taxpayers *cough cough* Somebody has some explaining to do.

Nadya’s mother told CNN that once her daughter is released from the hospital, she must move out of their house.  Oh yeah, I left that little tidbit out.  Nadya is single and still living at home with her parents. Sounds like a bad after-school special.

  1. Ugghh, this is so sad and messy. Talk about an unnecessary burden on society!!

  2. Every new detail I hear just pisses me off more about the doctor who did the work. I think that was medically unethical.

  3. When I first read of her living with her parents (in their small house) and having six kids already who were so young, I had a creepy feeling that further foolishness would ensue.

  4. WHOOAAA!!! I heard most of this like 15 minutes ago about how much it’ll cost to raise the children. But NOWHERE in the story did I hear them mention that she had 6 OTHER kids!!! Geez! We went through the whole invetro thing and they couldn’t get one (egg) out of Monsta. But 8 of them!!!!? That’s like… I’m just speechless. I heard she’s trying to appear on Oprah and some other shows to get assistance… and I had NO idea that she was single.. unbelieveable…!

  5. How does this man AGREE to have 14 babies, let alone 1? Take a wild guess who she’s trying to sell her story to? Yup. Oprah! My mother wouldn’t have allowed me to stay in her house passed 18, nevermind 30 something. I can only imagine how many jobs she’ll need to take care of these children, because now that the details of this story is out, there’s only so much the state will do for her….besides getting her some psychiatric help.

  6. I wouldn’t be surprised if the doctor didn’t get into trouble behind this.

Yeah, sounds like an obsession. 14 kids are going to drive her crazy. And when these are no longer cute and cuddly, she may go have some more.

  7. that woman is crazy!

Actually, the one thing she’ll get is a tax break because as I understand it, whenever someone has more than 12 kids, they no longer have to pay taxes. Don’t quote me on it but there’s some other tax breaks she’ll get and then she’ll also be eligible for a lesser known fund that provides for people with huge families (started by polygamists under some sort of religious freedom rights from what I was told). At any rate, if she moves her butt to a farm, then she gets additional benefits even if her farm isn’t producing. So she’s got shelters but this was still VERY irresponsible. I mean, I have eggs for days and I’m not running around having kids all willie nillie like! Not because some man won’t have me with a bunch of kids but because it’s nearly impossible for me to be able to provide the attention that each child needs for them to flourish intellectually, emotionally, spiritually and financially. It just doesn’t make sense!

  9. there’s something missing here. artificial insemination is not free nor is it covered by insurance, correct? so whose footing the bill for that?

  10. Summer, you are absolutely correct. Somebody is coming up off of some ends for the insemination procedures. Where she’s getting the money from, I don’t know. But again, somebody has some ‘splainin’ to do.

  11. Maybe she had the procedure done when she still HAD a job. I’m still baffled because after reading more on this, her parents BOUGHT her the house, then they had to move in with her after filing bankrupt. Sooooo it might just be the whole family that should seek some help.

  12. My favorite part of this entire story was reading the mother saying that her daughter was obsessed with having babies and that medical professionals advised her to PUT HER OUT THE HOUSE and make her be responsible for the kids she already had…………but she said she just couldn’t go through with it. NOW all of a sudden she’s willing to put her daughter and 14 grandkids out. wow….just wow.

  13. I’ve been waiting to see if and when the Department of Human Services would step in. Nadya obviously has a few screws loose. Somebody, besides grandmama, needs to be concerned about the welfare of all those kids.

  14. This whole story is just CRAZY! I feel bad for the kids… they have to live in this media circus AND their mother is crazy. After this 15 minutes are up… their mother will STILL be crazy. I don’t call her octo-mom… I call her octopussy… lol

  15. I have never heard about this story, I find it very strange, now I really do not know what to say.
