How do the police know to catch these individuals who are transporting drugs with a mere routine traffic stop? A lot of times when I hear about someone in my city and/or state getting arrested for pounds of marijuana and/or cocaine, it’s usually due to a routine traffic stop.
Not that I’m condoning the sale of illegal drugs, but I want to know what these drivers are doing to get stopped by the police? Are they driving erratically? Is there a big cloud of smoke coming from the windows of their vehicles? I mean damn, how do you get busted like that with a routine traffic stop? I know everybody can’t have a busted tail light.
Have you heard about the city of Beijing, China banning Blacks and Mongolians from their bars during the 2008 Summer Olympics? Allegedly, bar owners near the Workers Stadium in central Beijing say they have been forced by Public Security Bureau officials to sign pledges agreeing not to let Black people or Mongolians enter their premises for fear that these races of people may become “rowdy”.
It seems to me that this is a contradiction of the official 2008 Summer Olympics slogan, One World, One Dream. And if this is true, Beijing may miss out on some much needed tourism money with this act of racism.
Now, being an African American (Black) myself, I’ve socially partaken of fine liqueurs with people of various races. And I can tell you this………….we are not the ones you need to worry about that are getting rowdy while drinking.
Hello boys and girls. My podcast has really taken off, so it’s time for me to move it to an offshoot of Infinite Ink under the umbrella-ella-ella (damn, that was corny) of the Soulrific Podcast Show.
The podcast started off as a hobby and somehow took flight, yearning to break free. Never fear, you can still check out the show every week as usual, but in a new setting.
Tyler Perry is back again, y’all. This time it looks like he may have a surefire hit on his hands with The Family That Preys. Yes, his movies have made millions at the box office, but I’m talking about a real hit, and not just people attending the film because his name is attached to the project. This go ’round, Tyler touches on the subject of social classes and scandal.
Cast: Kathy Bates, Alfre Woodard, Tyler Perry, Cole Hauser, Sanaa Lathan, Rockmond Dunbar, Taraji P. Henson, Robin Givens, Kadee Strickland, Sebastian Siegel
Plot Summary: Wealthy socialite Charlotte Cartwright (Kathy Bates) and her dear friend Alice Pratt (Alfre Woodard), a working class woman of high ideals, have enjoyed a lasting friendship throughout many years. Suddenly, their lives become mired in turmoil as their adult children’s extramarital affairs, unethical business practices and a dark paternity secret threaten to derail family fortunes and unravel the lives of all involved. Alice’s self-centered newlywed daughter Andrea (Sanaa Lathan) is betraying her trusting husband Chris (Rockmond Dunbar) by engaging in a torrid affair with her boss and mother’s best friend’s son William (Cole Hauser).
While cheating on his wife Jillian (Kadee Strickland) with a string of ongoing dalliances with his mistress Andrea, William’s true focus is to replace the COO of his mother’s lucrative construction corporation. Meanwhile, Alice’s other daughter Pam (Taraji Henson), a kind but no nonsense woman married to a hard working construction worker (Tyler Perry), tries to steer the family in a more positive direction.
As paternity secrets, marital infidelity, greed and unsavory business dealings threaten to derail both families, Charlotte and Alice decide to take a breather from it all by making a cross-country road trip in which they rediscover themselves and possibly find a way to save their families from ruin.
