Soul Men
Sep 25th
This was the last film in which both Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes starred in before their passing, so I suspect that it will have pretty good numbers at the box office when it’s released.

Release Date: November 7, 2008
Cast: Samuel L. Jackson, Bernie Mac, Sharon Leal, Affion Crockett, P.J. Byrne, Jennifer Coolidge, Sean Hayes, Isaac Hayes, John Legend, Adam Herschman, Fatso Fasano, Jackie Long
Synopsis: The two remaining members of the popular soul band, The Real Deal, from the 1970’s, Floyd Henderson, now a retired businessman, and ne’er-do-well, ex-convict, Louis Hinds, take a road trip to the Apollo Theater for a musical tribute to their recently deceased front man, Marcus Hook. As they travel cross country in a series of adventures and misdventures, they air old grievances about thirty year old betrayals and learn the music’s still in them.

And I thought I had problems with my next-door-neighbor. Check out the preview for Lakeview Terrace. This movie makes my neighbor problems look like a walk in the park. Kinda reminds me of Unlawful Entry, but with a racial twist.

Release Date: September 19, 2008
Synopsis: A young couple (Patrick Wilson and Kerry Washington) has just moved into their California dream home when they become the target of their next-door neighbor, who disapproves of their interracial relationship. A stern, single father, this tightly wound LAPD officer (Samuel L. Jackson) has appointed himself the watchdog of the neighborhood. His nightly foot patrols and overly watchful eyes bring comfort to some, but he becomes increasingly harassing to the newlyweds. These persistent intrusions into their lives causes the couple to fight back.
