SNL Spoofs Vice Presidential Debate

Oct 05

Tina Fey is a genius!  Too bad I can’t say the same for Sarah Palin, but Tina’s portrayal of Palin is perfect. On last night, Saturday Night Live continued it’s onslaught by spoofing Biden and Palin in the Vice Presidential debate.

This week, Queen Latifah came along for the ride as debate moderator, Gwen Ifill.  Just check out Latifah’s facial expressions.  Priceless!

Foreign policy experience, my ass!

Sep 23

So today, Vice Presidential candidate, Governor Sarah Palin, is in New York meeting with the dignitaries at the United Nations.  Hmmmmm, I guess she’ll try to add this to her resume in regards to “foreign policy experience”, along with being able to see Russia from Alaska.

Well hell, I heard Nelson Mandela speak once, and I lived in Detroit, which is in an eyeshot of Canada.  I guess I have foreign policy experience too.  If it can work for her, it can work for me as well.  Right?

Oprah Said No

Sep 08

Oprah Winfrey said no to an interview with Sarah Palin and the Republicans are in an uproar.  After coming out in support of Barack Obama, Oprah decided not to use her show as a platform for the upcoming Presidential election.

I agree with her.  If she’s not going to let Obama and Biden use her show to speak to voters, then why would the Republicans think that she’d let Palin come on and speak to voters as well?  The Republicans say that Oprah’s show would be a good way for Palin to connect with the women voters.

Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t McCain’s camp say that this was not the reason they chose Palin as a running mate?  Not because she’s a woman and will garner votes from women voters?  If that’s the case, then why are you trying to connect with women voters through Oprah’s show?

Sounds like a huge contradiction to me, but that’s nothing new, because since selecting Palin as his running mate, McCain’s camp has been a ball of contradictions.  No experience, too young, etc.  Isn’t that what you said about Obama?  Pot, meet kettle.
