For those of you who were lucky enough to catch the UnSung docu-series on TV One this past winter, you can look forward to the return of the docu-series in June of 2009.

Previously, the life stories of R&B group DeBarge, the late R&B/Jazz chanteuse Phyllis Hyman, gospel greats The Clark Sisters and the late R&B singer/songwriter and producer Donny Hathaway were aired on UnSung.

Legendary R&B singers, Melba Moore and the late Minnie Riperton, are just two of the artists whose life stories will be featured on the series this summer.  So be on the lookout for the return of UnSung in June.

You know how on holidays when you get bored kickin’ it with the family, and you just want to unwind and relax?  Well, relaxing for me is finding something good to watch on television.  And I found just that on Thanksgiving night.  TV One had a sneak peek of UnSung on Thanksgiving night.

Unsung is a 4-part docu-series narrated by Al B. Sure.  I liken it to somewhat of a Behind The Music of African American singers and musicians.  The sneak peak premiered the story of the DeBarge family, showing their rise to fame amidst their struggles with drug addiction and various forms of abuse.

And on last night, the Phyllis Hyman story was revealed on UnSung.  There are least 2 more stories scheduled to air: The Clark Sisters and Donny Hathaway.  The Clark Sisters story airs tonight at 9pm CT/10pm ET, and the Donny Hathaway story will air on Tuesday night, 9pm CT/10pm ET.
